Dr. Lenares-Solomon is a licensed mental health therapist and certified tele-health Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. Her approach is rooted in the humanistic principles of Carl Rogers, where empathy, respect, and authenticity form the foundation of the counseling relationship. While her belief in these principles guides her work, she also uses a variety of approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and family-based therapies—to best support each client’s unique needs.
As a subject matter expert in multicultural counseling, Dr. Lenares-Solomon values the importance of understanding and respecting the diverse cultural backgrounds, identities, and life experiences that shape her clients. She believes that seeking counseling is an act of strength and courage, not something that should ever be stigmatized.
Dr. Lenares-Solomon works with individuals from ages five to eighty-five and is passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. In addition to her clinical practice, she has served as a Counselor, Consultant, Assistant Professor, and Counselor Educator, training the next generation of professional school counselors and licensed professional counselors. No matter the role, her focus remains the same: to walk alongside her clients in their journey, helping them explore challenges, set meaningful goals, and build lasting growth.
